St. Patrick's Day

Sorry that I haven't been able to add anything recently but I haven't been feeling the best but I'm getting better so don't worry. Yesterday was St. Patrick's day so me and Cpl. Furlong decided we should celebrate with a some neer beer. We only had one each that I took from A.Q.(A base neer by that I went on a convoy to). So we decided to save them for yesterday to feel like we were back in the rear having a good time. They were less then .5% alchol so we didn't get drunk don't worry. Nothing new really going on out here. Started going to the gym three days ago so that maybe I will come back a little bit buffer. So that I can get some more pullups on the next PFT. We asked if we could start going out on patrol. The CO said it would be fine as long as one of us stayed to run the fuel farm. Which is fine cause it takes a 8 year old to do my job but still other marines(grunts) keep trying and mess our pump up all the time. We got side sapi plates today. Which now means that my entire torso is now bullet proof. As soon as I figure out how to put them onto my flack jacket. When I first started wearing that thing it felt so heavy with the two armor piercing sapi plates and the 180 rounds and other things attached to it. Now it feels weird lifting one that doesn't have sapis in it.
Like I said I went on a convoy the other day down to A.Q. It was weird sitting in the passanger seat instead of the back. You see every car and truck pull off the road like we were out to get them. Everyone not only pulled off but drove another 10 yards plus of the shoulder. Everyone stoped what there were doing and watched as we rolled through there town. Little kids make you feel safe cause you know you won't get attacked. All the kids would run up next to the road and wave and make gestures asking us for food, and we all knew they got plenty of food from the US. Well I tried to upload a couple more pictures but it isn't working so I will try to post them latter.
